In the spirit of old PC adventure games, take a trip to a pixel world set in the waning days of analog where you will deliver newspapers, battle flying ants and eat lots of junk food.

LING'S QUEST is a vanity project that showcases the scope of world building and nuanced interactions that Articulate Storyline is capable of presenting.

It is 1987 and Ling here, decked out in tie-dyed pink, is a product of peak consumer culture. Help Ling collect 20 wrestling stickers randomly included in potato chips to win. Deliver newspapers and do various odd jobs to earn money and satisfy your crude, juvenile vices.

Navigate the pixel'd landscape with blue arrows that move you left and right, other arrows move you in and out of buildings and rooms.

Wrestling stickers don't collect themselves - paper routes are a key source of income. Find green boxes that provide bundles of newspapers to deliver to every customer with a paper tube. Ants can and must also be eliminated for cash, but you'll need energy.

 

 

 

The game, exteriors and interiors encompass over 300 screens. Use the top bar to access the inventory and map screen to move around the map instantly. You'll get a key as the game begins that brings you back to home base to check on your growing collection of stickers.

 

 

 

Friends are filled with great advice and encouragement. Touch the blue speech bubbles to engage in conversation. Guidance in the right direction will lead to glory, mystery, adventure and a full belt of wrestling stickers.
